DESCRIPTION
When your chickens are molting and cannot use Fenbendazole (Safe-Guard), Pyrantel is the go-to deworming medication for backyard flocks. It is used to effectively treat blood worms, roundworms, pinworms, hookworms and cecal worms (but NOT tape-worms or gape-worm).
Pyrantel pamoate liquid is a well-known parasiticide and dewormer. It controls strongyles like blood worms, palisade worms, sclerotomes (red worms), pinworms, hookworms and roundworms. Pyrantel dewormer for dogs exclusively treats parasites in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract because it is not fully absorbed into the bloodstream.
Pyrantel Pamoate Suspension is in a palatable vanilla-flavored vehicle. Each ml contains 50 mg of pyrantel base as pyrantel pamoate and has a 7 day egg and meat withdrawal period after use.
